Southern Cruisers Riding Club

News Updates - Updated October 9th, 2009

Not unlike any other year, 2009 has been a busy season for the Canadian chapters of the SCRC and once again a very active one to spite the lousy weather at least in Eastern Canada. Our Quebec members kicked things off with a fantastic "Quebec Bash" in June which continues to grow year over year thanks to the planning and hard work by Quebec Provincial Officer Laurie Johnson, Montreal Chapter 354 1st and 2nd Officer's Martin and Ian and many other dedicated Quebec members. Their event this year drew members from not only Quebec, but from Ontario, New Hampshire and Florida !!!  Thanks to all of you for giving us a great reason to plan a Quebec trip again next year !!

Unfortunately we've had a number of members who suffered various degrees of injuries from minor to very serious, as a result of motorcycle accidents over the course of the summer. Our thoughts and wishes for continued recovery will remain with them all throughout the winter.

Our annual Port Severn year end bash was once again a resounding success thanks to the 360 officers, members and guests that supported the event. Also thanks to Mother Nature for one of the best weekends weather wise of the entire summer.

Finally, plans are already underway for the 2010 International Motorcycle Supershow in Toronto on January 15, 16 & 17. There will be an exciting new look to our booth and lots of support from several of our Ontario Chapter's who will be manning the booth throughout the event to promote the club and all the benefits our members enjoy year after year on both sides of the border. So if your planning a winter trip south, be sure to try and put some time aside to find a local chapter where you'll be staying. They are always glad to meet and greet their friends from the North.
